Since a young age, Janet has always spent her time mimicking the music she hears. She loved the sensation of singing her heart out without a care in the world. She took it one step further by advancing into private singing classes in her early twenties, and she also took part in choir performances, eventually taking up the challenge as a soloist on a full time basis. Juggling her day job and being a performer, Janet finally resigned, with only hope, stubbornness, and two best friends who supported her throughout. Her specialities include American songbook standards, Shanghai Jazz, show tunes, and occasionally, classical. Janet feels that the art of making music has made her a better person.
“In some ways, I do become a different person on stage… I become a show girl, someone gregarious!”
